The Grant Thornton Tower is a skyscraper in the American city of Chicago that was completed in 1992 . Construction work on the building began in 1990 and was completed after a period of two years. The architecture firm Kohn Pedersen Fox was responsible for the planning . The height of the building is 230 meters (making it the 16th tallest building in the city ). Inside, the tower 50 has floors used for office purposes. These can be reached with 23 elevators . Architecturally, the building is characterized by a rectangular base, while there are some recesses in the upper area. The white stone facade of the Chicago Title Trust Tower stands out from the surrounding skyscrapers.
In the planning phase of the building it was planned to erect two identical high-rise buildings, i.e. twin towers. Ultimately, however, only one of them was completed. The second building could still be built. However, this seems unlikely.
The address for the structure is 161 North Clark Street, Chicago, IL .
