Grant Yates (born July 6, 1984 ) is a retired South African ice hockey player who played his entire career with the Cape Town Rams in the Western Provinces Ice Hockey League .
Career
Grant Yates began his career with the Cape Town Rams in the Western Provinces Ice Hockey League , one of the regional leagues whose winners play the South African national championship. He stayed with the club his entire career and ended his career there after the 2011 season.
International
Yates was first at the U18 World Cup in 2002 for South Africa in Division III on the ice. Two years later he took part in the U20 World Cup in Division II for his home country .
The defender played with the men's national team in the division III championships in 2010 and 2011 , when he was promoted to division II.
