Günter Mehnert
Günter Mehnert (born July 11, 1930 in Helmsdorf ; † February 21, 1998 ) was a German screenwriter .
Günter Mehnert worked as a screenwriter for the GDR film company DEFA from the early 1960s . In 1979, as President, he welcomed the guests of the first children's film festival, Goldener Spatz . In the same year he was awarded the GDR National Prize. By 1987 he was involved in a total of 24 productions.
