Gratien Gélinas , CC (born December 8, 1909 in Saint-Tite , Québec , Canada , † March 16, 1999 in Deux-Montagnes , Québec, Canada) was a Canadian film and theater actor , director and author .
life and work
Gélinas worked as an actor at a young age until he discovered his passion as a director and author. He was best known for the film drama Agnes - Angels in Fire .
Gratien Gélinas is considered to be the founder of modern Canadian theater and film.
In his last years he was the author, actor, producer and distributor of the plays he directed.
