The film gives a brief glimpse into the life of the paralyzed painter Mark Hicks, who fell from a tree at the age of 14 and has since suffered from tetraplegia , a paralysis of the arms and legs. His work is shown and his student life at the University of Los Angeles. The highlight is his first exhibition in San Francisco.
