The Grayling River ( Grayling : English for grayling ) is a left tributary of the Liard River in northern British Columbia .

The Grayling River has its origin in a small lake in the Logan Mountains , the southern part of the Selwyn Mountains . It flows mainly in a south-south-east direction through the mountains. After about 100 km the river reaches the Liard River. The 1780 km² catchment area of ​​the Grayling River borders on that of the Smith River to the west and that of the Beaver River to the east . The mean discharge at the mouth is 16 m³ / s.
