The Green Burn , also known as the Green Cleuch in its upper reaches , is a watercourse in Dumfries and Galloway , Scotland . It arises south of the Raes Knowes and flows in an easterly direction until it forms the Bigholms Burn at its confluence with the Glentemont Burn .
