green beats is a percussion - Ensemble of Osnabruck in Germany .

The band's trademark are the numerous neon green drums on which the musicians play. Performances by Greenbeats consist of a mixture of drum performances and effects in the form of choreographies or lighting and pyrotechnics.

The band plays percussion and drum shows. Greenbeats achieved worldwide fame through their invention of the drum octagon, a special arrangement of eight drums in the shape of an octagon. The video with a performance on three drum octagons, first published on Facebook and later on Youtube, was viewed around 15,000,000 times. On the stage, Greenbeats use up to 150 different drums, which are arranged in innovative and unusual shapes. Not infrequently, the musicians also have to play drums that hang over their heads. Most of the drums the group uses are homemade with special tonal characteristics.

The band is musically led by Timm Pieper, one of the co-founders. Timm Pieper writes the music program for the band.

history

The percussion band was founded in 2007 in Hagen aTW, and in 2012 the band moved to Wallenhorst (also in the immediate vicinity of Osnabrück). Since the foundation, the number and size of the concerts has grown steadily. The highlights of the career are a joint tour with DJ BoBo in 2017 or TV appearances on Das Supertalent , on Willkommen bei Carmen Nebel and in the ZDF TV garden . On October 12th, 2019, NDR television will report on DAS! about a concert by the ensemble.

The band has been on tour with their own full-length concert program since 2019.
