The Greenwell Glacier is a large, approximately 72 km long glacier in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It flows in a north-westerly direction between the Mirabito Range and the Everett Range to the Lillie Glacier , which it reaches below the Mount Works .
It was mapped by surveying work by the United States Geological Survey and using aerial photographs by the United States Navy between 1960 and 1963. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1964 after Martin D. Greenwell (1917-2003) of the US Navy, commander of the Antarctic squadron VX-6 from 1961 to 1962.
