Greg Rawlinson (born August 14, 1978 in Durban , South Africa ) is a New Zealand rugby union player who made his debut for the New Zealand national team against Ireland in June 2006. He was the first professional South African All Black. The only other All Black born in South Africa is Andrew Mehrtens , who was also born in Durban. He plays in the position of the second row striker .
Rawlinson played for the North Harbor Rugby Union in the Air New Zealand Cup , and like his former North Harbor captain, Rua Tipoki , he first played for Bay of Plenty in the National Provincial Championship (NPC), the predecessor of the Air New Zealand Cup . In 2005, he was named North Harbor Player of the Year after playing in all twelve of the region's games.
Rawlinson signed a three-year deal with the Worcester Warriors in 2007 and now plays in the Guinness Premiership .
