Gregor Kemper

Gregor Kemper (born July 31, 1963 ) is a German mathematician.

Kemper studied mathematics at the University of Karlsruhe and at the University of Heidelberg , where he received his doctorate under Heinrich Matzat in 1994 ( The Noetherian Problem and Generic Polynomials ) and completed his habilitation. Since 2002 he has been a full professor at the Technical University of Munich . In 2007 he won the Bavarian State Prize for Good Teaching. Kempers research areas are in particular invariant theory , commutative algebra and representation theory .
