Gregor Kiedorf

Gregor Kiedorf (born February 11, 1985 in Wolfen ) is a German lifeguard and engineer.

Life

From 2006 to 2011 he studied process engineering at the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg . Since 2012 he worked as a research assistant at the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems in Magdeburg . In 2017 he received his doctorate in engineering.

Kiedorf was active as a swimmer and from 1995 attended the sports high school in Halle (Saale) . In his youth he started for Bitterfelder SV. He then came to life swimming and in 2002 was six times Saxony-Anhalt national champion. In 2006 he and Matthias Meng won a world title in the line throwing relay. In preparation for the World Cup, he switched to DLRG Halle (Saale). In the puppet relay he won bronze together with Martin Bürger , Martin Baier and Philipp Berger .

In 2006, Kiedorf was allowed to enter the Golden Book of the City of Magdeburg in recognition of his sporting success as a lifeguard .

He is married and has one child.
