Gregorio Rodríguez Carrillo OSBM (born May 9, 1769 in Villanueva del Ariscal , Spain , † March 12, 1828 in Cartagena , Colombia ) was bishop of the Roman Catholic diocese of Cartagena in Colombia.

Life

Gregorio Rodríguez Carrillo was born in 1796 in the Spanish town of Villanueva del Ariscal, part of the province of Seville . Carrillo had joined the order of the Basilians and was first appointed Bishop of Cartagena, in Colombia, on March 8, 1816, at the age of 46.

The solemn episcopal ordination of Gregorio Rodríguez Carrillo, at the same time the official appointment to the episcopate, took place on July 21, 1816 in Cartagena. The main consecrator was Bishop Andrés Esteban Gómez , with Bishops Andrés García Palomares and Luis Gregorio López Castillo serving as co-consecrators .

Bishop Gregorio Rodríguez Carrillo died at the age of 58.
