Greimharting

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Greimharting , located at the foot of the Ratzinger Höhe , is part of the municipality of Rimsting in the Rosenheim district and part of the Chiemgau region . Independent until March 31, 1970, Greimharting was incorporated into the Rimsting community on April 1, 1970 as part of the Bavarian regional reform .

The place is first mentioned in 1135 as the family seat of the Lords of Greimharting , who probably moved their stay to Wildenwart later . The family's ancestral castle has disappeared, but the stones were partially used for the foundation of the Church of St. Petrus and St. Leonhard .
