The Grenadier Brigade 1135 was a German infantry brigade during World War II .

history

The brigade was set up in Wehrkreis V on July 27, 1944 as a so-called Valkyrie unit . The unit was subordinate to the Army Group Northern Ukraine . The brigade, the XXXXII. Army corps subordinated to the 4th Panzer Army , was deployed against the Red Army near Opatow in August 1944 and suffered heavy losses. Thereupon the unit was disbanded and in September 1944 its remnants were incorporated into the 291st Infantry Division .
