After the team slipped into the third division, they returned to the second division in 1992 . There she played for promotion to the Allsvenskan in the following years, but sometimes only just failed. After the return was only missed in 1997 in the promotion games, 2001 succeeded in being promoted to the first division.

Gripen Trollhättan BK occupied a relegation place in the first season after returning, but was able to stay in the league. In the following year, the team missed relegation, but managed to get promoted again immediately. Again she had to return to the second division after a season, before the renewed promotion to the elite series succeeded in 2007. Again she only stayed in the upper house for two years and has been playing in the southern season of the second-class Allsvenskan since 2009.
