Types of large dolmen

The Großdolmen Groß Labenz 1 (also called Kleiner Silberbusch ) is located north of Groß Labenz , on the road from Laase to Groß and Klein Labenz, near Sternberg in the district of Northwest Mecklenburg in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . Here are two large stone graves in groups of trees. They have the Sprockhoff numbers 334 and 335. Kleiner Silberbusch No. 334 is the north of the two. They were excavated and restored by Ewald Schuldt in 1966 . The two megalithic systems were built between 3500 and 2800 BC. BC as large stone graves of the funnel beaker culture (TBK).

The north-south oriented large stone grave in Rollsteinhügel. is severely disturbed. The internal dimensions of the chamber could be determined by the excavation. The length was about 4.0 m, the width 2.2 meters. The chamber had three bays and the keystone on the northern narrow side. The entrance was in the south. No statement can be made about its design (vestibule or vestibule) as all the stones are missing. The chamber floorboard made of red sandstone slabs and clay screed was preserved and discolored red from firing . One bearing stone is probably still in situ , all other bearing stones and cap stones or their remains have been relocated. A blown capstone carries three bowls .
