The Great Bridge of Tianjin ( Chinese  天津 特 大橋  /  天津 特 大桥 , Pinyin Tiānjīn Tèdàqiáo ) is a 113.7 km long viaduct on the Beijing – Shanghai high-speed line and is currently the fourth longest bridge in the world.

The bridge is located between Langfang and Qingzhou (Qing) in the east of China in Hebei Province . It leads the elevated route of the high-speed line over the open country and through the western suburbs of the city of Tianjin , whose station with the name Tianjin South is also located on this bridge.

The design of the elevated route was chosen, on the one hand, to avoid numerous individual structures to cross roads and railway lines and, on the other hand, to shorten the construction time. In addition, the railway line in this construction method requires less land: a railway embankment requires 28.4 hectares per kilometer , but the bridge only requires 10.9 hectares, i.e. less than half the area.

The bridge consists of 32 m long box girders , each weighing 860 tons. These girders were created at two workplaces along the bridge, brought to the installation site on the already built bridge section and placed on the piers by a special crane.
