List of the longest bridges

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This list gives an overview of the world's bridges, both over land and water, that are at least 3 km long. The span is the longest distance between two pillars . There is no standard way of specifying the length of a bridge. Usually you specify the total span, sometimes the clear width between the abutments or the distance between the ends of the abutments.

All bridges listed are railway bridges, for example on high-speed lines , or road bridges or combinations thereof.

The span is the free length between two supports along the bridge axis.

Remarks

  1. between the stations Ramakrishna Ashram Marg and Dwarka Sector 8
  2. Zhuhai Road (mainland China) - Lantau Island and mainland (Hong Kong)
  3. From a Russian perspective, the Crimean Bridge is the longest bridge in Russia and Europe. Most of the bridge crosses the territory of Ukraine. With the specified 19 km length, the part to be defined as a bridge according to DIN 1076 (see definition: bridge ) is only 7.5 km (6.1 + 1.4). The graphics of the contributions clearly show how bridges and overland routes are distributed: Sputniknews: Infographics - "Crimean Bridge Project over the Kerch Strait" and the VDI-Nachrichten clearly show the distribution: "Record bridge in the conflict area" .
