The Dashengguan Bridge ( Chinese  南京 大胜关 长江 大桥 , English Dashengguan River Bridge ) is a railway bridge over the Yangtze River near Nanjing in China . It is one of the longest steel truss bridges whose superstructure is designed as a continuous beam . The bridge has six tracks, which from the high-speed line Beijing Shanghai , the high-speed line Shanghai-Wuhan-Chengdu and from the underground Nanjing be used.

The structure is about twenty kilometers above the Nanjing-Yangtze Bridge , opened in 1968 , and about one and a half kilometers above the Third Nanjing-Yangtze Bridge , which was completed in 2005. The total length of the bridge is 9273 meters. Construction of the bridge began in 2006, the main girder was completed on September 28, 2009 and the entire bridge in 2010; it was released for traffic in January 2011. The construction costs were estimated at around 4.56 billion yuan (around 455 million euros or 716 million Swiss francs ) at the start of construction .

The Dashengguan bridge consists of a 1272 meter long main carrier in steel truss with the two 336-meter-long arc , two each 168 meters long north bridge spans from parallelgurtigen steel trusses , as well as a northern 1208 m long and a southern 6450 meters long adjoining the steel structure box girder bridges from Reinforced concrete . The continuous beam with the arches has three vertical truss levels that are located between the tracks. The outermost tracks used by the subway are in front of the trussed girders, the high-speed lines are between the trussed girders, with the double lane of the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed line being on the valley side in relation to the direction of flow of the Yangtze.

The continuous girder was erected in cantilever construction, with the arches being braced with attached pylons during the construction phase . The cranes placed on the already built part of the arches served both to insert the steel girders of the supporting structure and to unload and assemble the fully assembled bridge deck parts delivered by ship .
