The house at Große Diesdorfer Straße 97-102 is a listed residential building in Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located on the north side of the Große Diesdorfer Straße in the Stadtfeld West district , opposite is the area of the Westfriedhof . West of the building opens the Schmeilstraße the Great Diesdorfer road . Hugo-Vogel-Straße , which also opens from the north, leads through the building itself to Große Diesdorfer Straße by means of a passage.
Architecture and history
The elongated three-and-a-half-storey house was built in 1930/31 according to plans by the architect Artur Reinecke in the New Building style. The plastered building was commissioned by the Bauverein für Gemeinnützige Siedlungen and was located close to the outskirts when it was built. There are protruding head structures at the western and eastern ends of the building. Balconies are arranged in the corners of the building. A shop is set up on the ground floor of the western end building. Three-step stairs lead to the house entrances covered with small flat roofs. Above the house doors there are skylights under the roofs. On the street facing the ground floor, there are narrow terraces reminiscent of balconies. The windows of the house are arranged as lying rectangles and provided with shutters on the ground floor .
The plastered building rests on a brick base and is covered with a flat roof.
In front of the building there are low fencing walls with metal parapets and, in some cases, small hedges.
The villa is listed in the local monument register under registration number 094 82558 as a monument .
The house is a striking example of cooperative building in Magdeburg.
