List of cultural monuments in Stadtfeld West

In the list of cultural monuments in Stadtfeld West all cultural monuments of the city are Magdeburg belonging district Stadtfeld West listed. The basis is the monument register of the state of Saxony-Anhalt, which was created on the basis of the Monument Protection Act of October 21, 1991 and has been continuously updated since then (status: December 31, 2019).

Encke barracks The former barracks is now used as a residential building. The barracks was built from 1912 to 1913. The houses are four-story plastered buildings with a mansard, hip or pyramid roof. settlement The settlement was built from 1924 to 1932, the client was the "Association for Small Housing" and the "Magdeburger Gemeinnützige Heimstätten AG". The construction plan was created by Bruno Taut according to a general settlement plan , the architects were Konrad Rühl, Gerhard Gauger, Willy Zabel and Adolf Otto. The settlement was named after the Mayor of Magdeburg, Hermann Beims. Around 2000 of the planned 5000 residential units have been built. Pavilion in the Westfriedhof The pavilion is a reinforced concrete structure and was built from 1929/30 in the New Building style. It is located at the main entrance of the Westfriedhof. villa The villa was built in 1897. The client was Wilhelm Rathke, a bookseller. The facade is characterized by three large triangular gables on both sides of the street of the villa, which stands on a corner plot. On the side facing the Europaring there are two triangular gables with a loggia in between. There is a two-sided flight of stairs in front of the entrance to the Europaring. 094 82318 monument BW

villa The villa was built in 1873 for the owner of the paint factory Carl Hans Blume. It is a two-storey villa with a mansard roof in the style of historicism with elements from the Renaissance. A polygonal risalit characterizes the facade towards the street. A partial dome with a lantern is located above the risalit. On the west side the stairwell is behind a risalit, on the east side there is a winter garden. The villa forms the entrance to the company premises, parts of the factory buildings are still preserved here. But these are more recent than the villa. 094 82319 monument BW

St. Marienstift Hospital in Magdeburg The Catholic hospital was built from 1904 to 1906. The house was built with a T-shaped floor plan to care for children who do not have to attend school and for orphans. From 1909 the building was partially used as a hospital, from the Second World War it was only used as a hospital. It is a four-storey house in the neo-Gothic style.
