Architecture and history

The plastered building was erected in 1845 as an inn on the road between Magdeburg and Diesdorf. The client was the trader Anacker, the construction work was in the hands of the master carpenter Behrends and the master mason P. Mesch. A single-storey building in the style of late classicism was created . The facade has five axes, with the central axis emerging as a flat risalit . It has rustication on its edges . The window openings are flared ears . The window sills are profiled and decorated with depictions of flowers. Above the central axis is a relatively large dwelling crowned with a triangular gable . The edges of the dwarf house are decorated with pilasters . In the center of the gable is an ox-eye . The building is covered by a low-hipped roof .

Stables and farm buildings originally belonged to the inn, but they no longer exist.

After a long period of vacancy and decay, the house was renovated in the 2010s.

In the local register of monuments , the inn is listed as a monument under registration number 094 82225 .

The building is particularly significant for Diesdorf in terms of local history. In addition, as an object that characterizes the street scene, it contrasts with the modern residential buildings on the opposite side of the street in the 1920s and 1930s.
