In the list of cultural monuments in Barleber See all cultural monuments of the district of Barleber See belonging to the city of Magdeburg are listed. The basis is the monument register of the state of Saxony-Anhalt, which was created on the basis of the Monument Protection Act of October 21, 1991 and has been continuously updated since then (status: February 25, 2015).

(map) 		settlement The settlement was built together with the ship lift. Construction began in 1927, and the settlement was expanded in 1938. The employees of the ship lift lived here. The houses are located south of the Mittelland Canal and the lock towards the Elbe. They are single-storey plastered buildings with a pitched roof in the local style. Ship lift
(map) 		Boat lift The ship lift was completed in 1938. The aim of the building was the continuous connection of the Rhine and the Brandenburg waters. The elevator is designed for ships up to 1000 tons. The steel trough has a length of 85 meters, a width of 12 meters and a depth of 2.5 meters. The weight is 5400 tons. Ship lift
(map) 		restaurant A restaurant belongs to the settlement. It is a single-storey plastered building on the eaves with a steep pitched roof in the local style. The street front has nine axes, there are two lattice windows on the outside, followed by an entrance each with an outside staircase. There are three high lattice windows between the two entrances, these are lower in the complex than the other windows.
