description

butterfly

The wingspan of the moth is 40 to 44 millimeters. The upper side of the forewing has a golden yellow base color, which is sometimes slightly dusted pink in fresh specimens. The submarginal region is purple-brown to golden-brown and is delimited by the double outer transverse line that extends into the apex . The violet-brown to orange-brown basal region is bordered by the very pointed inner transverse line. Kidney and ring flaws are usually only indistinctly visible. The rust-brown veins, however, stand out clearly. The undersized upper side of the hind wing is colored light yellow-gray to gray-brown.
