building

The courthouse is located at Ernst-Ludwig-Strasse 9 in the Mainz-Altstadt district . It dates from 1908 and was built in neoclassical style. The building originally housed the then Grand Ducal Hessian wine-growing domain. The wrought-iron skylight grille of the gate, which is decorated with three-dimensional grapes and vine leaves, indicates this use. Similar decorative shapes can also be found in the gate entrance. The building was used as a state viticulture domain until 1976 . After extensive renovation and expansion work, the Mainz Administrative Court has been housed in the building since November 15, 1996.

Authority management

The President of the Administrative Court in Mainz is Bettina Freimund-Holler, the Vice-President is Christof Berthold.

Superior courts

The Mainz Administrative Court is subordinate to the Rhineland-Palatinate Higher Administrative Court , which has its seat in Koblenz. The Federal Administrative Court is superordinate to this.
