Great stone graves near Eickstedt

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The large stone graves near Eickstedt were several megalithic graves of unknown number from the Neolithic funnel cup culture near Eickstedt , a district of Randowtal in the Uckermark district ( Brandenburg ). They were probably destroyed in the second half of the 19th century. Leopold von Ledebur reports that around 1845 there were still barrows on the Rollbergen near Eickstedt. He does not provide any details about the number, shape and dimensions. At the same place in 1835 a small jug with unrecognizable coins was found while plowing.
