from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The megalithic graves near Holsten were two megalithic graves from the Neolithic funnel cup culture near Holsten-Bexten , a district of Salzbergen in the district of Emsland ( Lower Saxony ). They were destroyed in the 19th century. The exact location of the graves is not known. According to a report from 1877, they had already been completely removed by then. However, there were still marks that indicated that one grave had 18 wall stones and the second 36 wall stones. It must therefore have been large dolmen or passage graves .
