Great stone graves near Steinfeld (Oldenburg)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The large stone graves near Steinfeld were several megalithic graves of unknown numbers from the Neolithic funnel cup culture near Steinfeld (Oldenburg) in the district of Vechta ( Lower Saxony ). They were probably destroyed in the 19th century. It is said that there were originally numerous stone monuments in the area that gave the place its name. With the exception of the stone grave Steinfeld-Bökenberg and the stone grave Steinfeld-Lehmden , the exact location of none of the systems has been recorded. There is also no information on the orientation, dimensions and type of grave.
