Great stone graves near Zichow

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The megalithic graves near Zichow were several megalithic graves of unknown number, presumably from the Neolithic funnel cup culture near Zichow in the Uckermark district ( Brandenburg ). They were destroyed in the 19th century. According to Leopold von Ledebur , several large stones were blown up in the forest near the Randowbruch . No information is available on the number, dimensions, orientation and type of the systems. Several ceramic vessels (“urns and cinder jars”) were found during the blasting work, but they have not been preserved. In the 18th century, a stone hatchet and ax were found in a nearby field .
