The large stone grave Glüsingen is a megalithic grave complex of the Neolithic funnel beaker culture near Glüsingen , a district of Betzendorf in the district of Lüneburg , Lower Saxony . It bears the Sprockhoff number 692.
location
The grave is located southeast of Glüsingen in the peasant forest to the north of the Süsing in a parcel called “Im Stroße”. The Barnstedt large stone grave lies 860 m to the northeast .
description
Today the facility lies in a border ditch and was probably considerably damaged during its construction. A pile of hills can no longer be made out. The burial chamber probably had an east-west orientation and a length of about seven meters. Two wall stones on the northern long side are still almost in situ , as is one wall stone on the southern long side. Three cap stones have been preserved. One of them is leaning against the northern wall stones. To the east of this is another one inside the chamber. At the western end of the chamber is the third one, who was probably dragged there.
