Grand stone grave Kandelin

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The large stone grave Kandelin was a possible megalithic grave complex of the Neolithic funnel cup culture near Kandelin , a district of Süderholz in the district of Vorpommern-Rügen ( Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania ). It was probably destroyed in the 19th century. Its exact location is not known. There is also no further information on the orientation, dimensions and type of grave. An ax from a reburial of the end-Neolithic individual grave culture comes from here , which came into the private collection of Friedrich von Hagenow in the 19th century and is now in the Stralsund Museum . South of Kandelin are the megalithic graves in the Poggendorf forest .
