The large stone grave Klein Bokern is one between 3500 and 2800 BC. A system of the Neolithic Funnel Beaker Culture (TBK) that was built near the village of Klein Bokern in the district of Osnabrück , Lower Saxony, which belongs to the municipality of Bippen . It bears the Sprockhoff number 888.

location

The grave is located northwest of Klein Bokern on the edge of a forest and on a slope of the Queckenberg. Two kilometers to the northwest is the Dalum large stone grave . A 1.8 km north-westerly point called the “Hexentanzplatz” is probably not the remains of another grave, but a natural accumulation of stones.

description

This complex is a north-west-south-east oriented passage grave . Only limited statements can be made about its exact condition, since a large part of it is still hidden underground. It has a fairly large burial chamber, 22 m long and at least 2 m wide. The two end stones on the narrow sides and five wall stones on the south-western long side can be recognized, all in situ . In addition, seven cap stones can be seen, the northeastern halves of which are still under the ground. There is also a pair of wall stones in the corridor just under 2 m from the middle of the south-western long side. Based on these visible stones, Ernst Sprockhoff assumed that the grave in its original state had twelve wall stones on the north-eastern and thirteen on the south-western long wall, one end stone each on the narrow sides and thirteen cap stones. The corridor had two pairs of wall stones and two cap stones.
