Several of the bearing stones of the north-west-south-east oriented, about 15; = meter long Emsland Chamber , as well as almost all the stones of the oval, tightly fitting border are missing. Seven of the original eight cap stones of the chamber, which can be reconstructed to a width of 1.8 meters in places, are still there, but mostly collapsed. The supporting stones in the access area are as far beyond the phalanx that are unavailable from other plants of the passage grave known -type trapezioden chamber areas form but irregular niches.
Numerous prehistoric sites are known in the Maiburg State Forest, especially in the south and east of the complex. East of Dalum, the remains of three large stone graves are mentioned in older literature. Sprockhoff referred to these stones as natural collections. The so-called Hexentanzplatz is now also known as the “Maiburg 2” large stone grave.
