The large stone grave Teterow (also called Hünenstein ) is a megalithic grave complex of the Neolithic funnel cup culture near Teterow in the Rostock district ( Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania ). It bears the Sprockhoff number 397.
location
The grave is located just after the northern exit of Teterow, about 100 m west of the federal highway 108 in a field. Southwest of Teterow, 4.1 km from the large stone grave, there is a stone box grave in the Hohes Holz forest .
description
The complex has a north-west-south-east oriented burial chamber , originally encased by a rolling stone hill , which is a large dolmen . Only the north-western half of it has survived. The north-western end stone and two wall stones each on the long sides are still in situ . Of the two remaining capstones, the northwestern one has been shifted and the next one sunk on one side into the interior of the chamber. Both capstones have numerous bowls . Since the chamber is quite wide at 2 m, it should originally have been very long and consisted of at least four yokes.
