Grohe forum

The Grohe Forum is an event hall in Sauerlandpark in Hemer in South Westphalia . The hall, designed by architect Darius Cwienk from the Stuttgart office C1 Architekten , was completed within a year and inaugurated in 2010 as part of the State Horticultural Show Hemer 2010 (LGS). The Hemer-based company Grohe, as a name sponsor, partly financed the construction costs of 6.5 million euros .

Furnishing

The 200 square meter stage , which can be opened inwards or outwards depending on the type of event, is unique in Germany . If the inside is used, the room offers around 2000, the grandstand another 500 spectators. When you open the stage to the outside, the audience is on the central forum square of the LGS, which has a capacity of around 8,000 seats.

The hall is heated with geothermal energy, for which a four-kilometer-long pipe system was created.

use

As part of the State Horticultural Show Hemer 2010 , the hall was used for cultural events. Since then, it has primarily been used as a sports hall for schools in Hemeran such as the neighboring rainbow school and clubs, as well as for major events.
