Grondmet is a trading company specializing in the sale of alloys, metals and ores based in Düsseldorf-Oberkassel .

Grondmet was founded in Rotterdam in the Netherlands in 1963 , but has been based in Düsseldorf-Oberkassel since the 1980s. Grondmet is one of the largest dealers in ferro- tungsten . In addition to purchasing ferro-molybdenum, Grondmet also converts molybdenum oxides into ferro-molybdenum. Further products that are traded worldwide are ferro- vanadium , manganese metal , tungsten metal and chromium metal . In cooperation with Asian partners, the company also sells rare earth metals and their oxides. The trading company specializes in the sale of high-quality alloys and supplies steel works, foundries and research facilities worldwide. The company has been running a new office in Beijing since 2009 . Since 2013 the company has been operating a joint venture in the Chinese province of Liaoning , which deals with the production and trading of various raw materials for the steel and chemical industries in China and Asia. Annual sales in 2007 were approximately $ 200 million.
