Groupe ADEO (until 2007: groupe Leroy Merlin ) is the third largest group in the home improvement industry . The group belongs to the Association Familiale Mulliez . It also operates the Weldom, Bricocenter, Aki and Bricoman hardware stores .

history

The Leroy Merlin Group began in 1994 with the acquisition of the Belgian Louis Delhaize Group ( Bricoman brand ). In 2003 they left the Belgian market again and sold the business to the Dutch group Vendex KBB.

In 2007 the group had acquired several hardware stores, including Leroy Merlin, Bricoman, the Spanish Aki-magasins and the Portuguese acquis in 2003. Weldom and Bricocenter followed in 2005. Then Adeo was bought by the Mulliez Family Association and renamed the Leroy Merlin Group ("Adeo Group").

In France, the Adeo group is the leading company in the home improvement sector with 35% market share in 2011, ahead of the Kingfisher group ( Castorama and Brico Dépôt, 34%), Mr Bricolage (11, 3%), Bricomarché (10.6% ) and Bricorama.
