The Fahn mine is a former iron mine in the Bensberg ore district in Bergisch Gladbach . The site belongs to the Schildgen district . The first request for guidance dates from August 26, 1854. A second request for guidance followed on January 8, 1857. It was not until January 8, 1868 that the requirements for an award were met. The Fahn mine is in the middle of Schildgen. Behind the house Fahner Weg 3 a / b and in the neighboring properties you can see several, partly larger pings , which have been excellently integrated into the gardens. Nothing further is known about the operating activities.
