The Frankenforst mine is a former iron mine in the Bensberg ore district in Bergisch Gladbach . The site belongs to the Kippekausen district . On the basis of a request for encouragement dated July 14, 1851 in the name of Gertrud, an award certificate was issued to Eisenstein on November 12, 1856 under the name Frankenforst . The Frankenforst mine field is located between the kick house and Vurfelser Kaule. The find was south of the confluence of the street Neuer Traßweg in the street An der Wallburg. All traces have been lost through the development. Nothing further is known about the operating activities.
