The Gustav Bischof mine is a former non-ferrous metal ore mine in the Bensberg ore district in Rösrath . It was west of Breide near Bleifeld .

history

The pit Gustav bishop was on August 18, 1853 Lead , zinc , copper and siderite awarded . It must have been a length field , because there was another award on September 4, 1855 as a square field for zinc, lead and copper. Who was the operator of the mine remains unclear. The production for the period from 1853 to 1881 amounted to 360 t ore, 20 t of lead ore and 2 t of copper ore. Experimental work was carried out between 1902 and 1904, details of which are not known. The legitimacy file only contains an annual report for 1905 with the following content:

“The removal of the visor above the die bottom showed that the occurrence is irregular. After the recovered heap had been processed on hand setting machines, operations were stopped. The work was carried out by five workers. The production amounted to 78 t of zinc ore. "
