The Theodore mine is a former non-ferrous metal mine in the Bensberg ore district in Rösrath . It was south of Oberlüghausen.

history

On October 25, 1856, the Saturn - Rheinische Bergwerks Aktien-Verein submitted a speculation for lead , blende , copper ore and spate iron stone . The assumption was renewed on June 10, 1857 by Theodor Guillery of the Saturn mining company. Between December 23, 1857 and June 1, 1865, a total of 15 further speculations were put forward. On February 23, 1867 an award was negotiated. Finally, on April 4, 1867, Theodore mine was awarded for lead and zinc ore. The AG for mining, lead and zinc production in Stolberg and in Westphalia became new owners on May 27, 1884. Nothing is known about operational activities.
