Mine rescue team
The mine rescue service is an aid organization whose task it is to help with mine accidents . They are attached to the mines and represent a type of plant fire brigade .
Her responsibilities include the rescue and salvage abortive miners underground, fighting mine fires and the preservation of property.
Furnishing
The main focus is on respiratory protection . Special regeneration devices that are independent of ambient air are used here.
Various devices, some of which are still in use today, were developed for the rescue.

Germany
The mine rescue services are trained, advised and monitored by the employers' liability insurance association for the raw materials and chemical industry ( main offices for mine rescue ). The central mine rescue service of the raw materials and chemical industry trade association is based in Clausthal-Zellerfeld in Lower Saxony .
The RAG mine rescue team still had a total of 535 members at the beginning of 2018: at the headquarters in Herne , at the locations of the two mines and in Saarland , where the last mine stopped mining in 2012. New military men are no longer trained in the five-year training.
Awards
Employees of mine rescue teams with special merits to the needs of the mine rescue team can use the endowed by the Federal President of Honor Badge mine rescue honors. The award is given both in recognition of many years of active and exemplary work in the mine services (15 years of service for the silver level, 20 years of service for the gold level) and for individual rescue activities.
