Basic perseverance

Basic endurance (abbreviation GA ) is a technical term in the field of endurance training . It serves as the basis for all endurance training.

Basic endurance 1 (GA1)

Since the athlete is below the anaerobic threshold , the lactate level does not or only barely increases. The training is done with a heart rate of 60 to 70% of the maximum heart rate .

GA 1 is used unconsciously in almost all sports, but especially consciously in endurance sports such as running , cycling and canoeing .

Basic endurance 2 (GA2)

Training in this area improves energy production below the anaerobic threshold . Since the athlete is below the anaerobic threshold, the lactate level does not or only barely increases. The training is done with a heart rate of 70 to 80% of the maximum heart rate .

GA 2 is used unconsciously in almost all sports, but especially consciously in endurance sports such as running , cycling and canoeing .
