Grupo Carso
The Grupo Carso , the holding company of companies of Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim . The holding was formed in 1990 from the Corporación Industrial Carso and Grupo Inbursa . The company name Carso stands for Car los Slim and So umaya Domit de Slim, his late wife. The company is listed in the Índice de Precios y Cotizaciones (IPC) on the Bolsa Mexicana de Valores .
The Grupo Carso bundles shares in construction companies, retailers, restaurants, financial service providers, automotive suppliers, food producers, etc.
In 1996, the Telmex , Telcel and América Móvil telecommunications companies formed the Grupo Carso Global Telecom .
