    Holdings

In August 2007, the Jamaican wireless operator Oceanic Digital was acquired. In 2010, América Móvil bought the Dutch telecommunications group KPN , made further acquisitions and in June 2012 already held 29.8% of the shares. In August 2013 the company attempted to take over the entire Dutch group. However, this was withdrawn because KPN blocked.

The Mexican company has also held a stake in the Austrian Telekom Austria since June 2012, increasing its stake to 23.7% by March 2013, making it the second largest shareholder. Slim took over the shares in Telekom Austria primarily from the Austrian investor Ronny Pecik , who had only acquired 20 percent of Telekom Austria in September 2011. As of July 15, 2014, América Móvil increased its stake to almost 51% and thus took over the majority. As of May 2019, the proportion is exactly 51%.
