In motorsport, group F describes a very specific processing standard for truck racing vehicles. Its regulations are determined by Article 290 of the FIA's International Sports Law .

Technical regulations

The vehicles of the group F be a two-axle trucks defined. The regulations stipulate that at least 50 road vehicles of this type must be produced per year. The top speed of the trucks is limited to a maximum of 160 km / h.

The truck can be a maximum of 2.55 m wide and 2.5 m high. The total weight may be 5300 kg, of which 3150 kg must be on the front axle.

The engine capacity is limited to a maximum of 13,000 cm³. It is not necessary for the engine and chassis manufacturers of the truck to match, but at least 100 engines of the type must have been produced.
