Grynaeus
Grynaeus is the name of a Basel academic family that originally came from Veringendorf (Württemberg) and initially bore the name Grüner or Griner. In the 17th century, the family branched out to Mulhouse (Alsace), Nuremberg , Berlin and the Electoral Palatinate , in the 18th the Basel line died out.
