Grzegorz Pojmański (born April 16, 1959 in Warsaw ) is a Polish astronomer .

He works at the Astronomical Observatory of the University of Warsaw . In 1997 he developed the All Sky Automated Survey (ASAS) project together with Professor Bohdan Paczyński .

With this observation system he was able to discover two comets, namely C2004 R2 (ASAS) and C / 2006 A1 (Pojmański) . The latter could also be seen with binoculars in Northern Europe at the beginning of March 2006. The ASAS automatic telescope is located in the Las Campanas Observatory in Chile . Pojmański is connected to it via the Internet.
