Guanling Mausoleum

Guanling ( Chinese  關 陵  /  关 陵 , Pinyin Guānlíng , English Guanling mausoleum / Guan Ling tomb etc. ) or the Guanling mausoleum , Guan mausoleum , Guan Yu grave etc. in the city of Dangyang of the prefecture city of Yichang in the Chinese province of Hubei is the tomb of Guan Yu ( 关羽 ), who is said to have been buried here without his head (which rests in Guanlin ). The site of the temple built there has a history of over 1700 years and goes back to the time of the Three Kingdoms .

Legend has it that Guan Yu's head was buried in the Guanlin site in Luoyang , and his body on the Yuquan Shan in Dangyang.

The Guanling Mausoleum ( Guanling ) has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (6-270) since 2006 .

Together with the Guandi Temple in Xiezhou (in Yanhu , Yuncheng , Shanxi Province ) and the Guanlin Temple (or grave of the head in Luolong , Luoyang , Hebei Province ), it is one of the three great Guan Yu temples in China.
